My wife (Becky) and I have partnered in several family businesses over the last 40 years.
Our most recent venture is the Journal of the Print World.
I owe much to Becky for introducing me to the world of art. Because of her professional interest in print making, we acquired the influential newspaper, the Journal of the Print World, a few years ago.
The cover on the right shows a print of Tolstoy by the legendary printmaker, Mauricio Lasansky.

Becky does the lion’s work of publishing the newspaper, while I edit interesting articles and columns on historical and contemporary artists whose woodcuts, engravings, etchings, lithographs, solar prints, etc. are collected by people around the world. In 2013, Becky received a much deserved award from the Society of American Graphic Artists at The National Arts Club in New York.
Recently I took a workshop from Master Printer, Dan Weldon, who invented solarplate printing, which allows relief and intaglio printing without the need to use acids and other dangerous chemicals. The photo at the right shows Dan working in China at their National Printmaking Museum, now the largest in the world devoted to prints.
